My husband Micah and I were married on July 27th 2002. I am a stay-at-home-mom. After struggling with infertility for over 2 yrs we were able to do IVF and were blessed with twin boys. Just 17 mos later our 3rd son was born! And 2 years later we were suprised with a daughter. We thank God every day for these blessings.
"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him." 1 Sam. 1:27
Peter is the oldest of our twins by one minute. He is very quiet and has a sweet spirit. If others are upset he gets upset too. He is a very happy boy. He loves music and can sing several songs without missing a note (although he does miss words sometimes).
When he was about 14 months old we began noticing some things that worried us. He became less responsive to his name, wasn't saying any words (not even mama and dada), wasn't playing with his toys correctly (would spin wheels on cars instead of pushing them), little eye contact ect.... On March 25th 2010 he was diagnosed with autism.
In January 2011 we were able to get him ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis), a therapy that has helped many kids with autism, even allowing some to recover completely. He has done so well and progressed so far. We are praying for continued progress.
We love our boy no matter what and will do whatever we need to help him. Above all I pray that God will use this for His glory.
Isaac is the younger of the twins. He is our spirited guy. He loves to perform and is such a Ham. If you are feeling down just hang around him for a little while and he will cheer you up. =) He makes me smile everyday and is always doing something funny.
He loves music too but you are more likely to see him running and jumping. =) He is always on the go.
He is in preschool now and is getting speech therapy there for a minor speech delay. He loves school though and would live there if he could.
Ian is our miracle baby. We were told we would probably need IVF for any other children we wanted to have.
God is still in the miracle business and our little guy is proof. Just 9 months after the boys were born we found out we were expecting another, without spending thousands of dollars, going to doctors, or undergoing painful treatments.
We thank God every day for our little man like we do for all our children. He is our spirited strong-willed guy. =) He also has to always be on the move. But although he has a strong spirit, he can also be incredibly sweet. He adores his baby sister and is always trying to include her and help her do things.
Naomi is our little suprise baby and the best suprise I have ever gotten. After 3 boys I thought we would only ever have boys but then our little miss came along.
She is such a joy to our family and my easiest baby yet. She always has a smile on her face and adores her brothers. She is also quite the imitator. I can't wait to see the incredible woman she is going to become.
